Number five-ranked Twin Cedars’ baseball team beat number four in Class 2A St. Edmond, Fort Dodge yesterday inside Principal Park, 4 – 1. The Sabers broke a 1 – 1 tie in the fourth with two runs on hits from Brent Parker, Drew Carlson, and RBI double from Collin Still, and a Levi Jones RBI single. Twin Cedars added an insurance run with a pair of doubles by Otis Roby and Corey Harrell and a fielder’s choice in the fifth. Roby went 3 2/3 innings giving up two hits, striking out seven and walking three. Coy Moore got the win by pitching the rest of the ball game and striking out eight and allowing just one hit. The Sabers’ boys improve to 5 – 0 on the season and their busy week continues tonight when they head to Lamoni for a game, weather pending.
