Children have a chance to see different critters in-person next week as part of the Knoxville Library’s summer reading program. As this year’s theme is “Dig into Reading,” the Blank Park Zoo will tell children to why certain animals dig and introduce them to a few that spend time underground. That program is for children 6-and-up and takes place from 1-to-2pm next Wednesday. Another program will be held for 2-to-5 year olds next Thursday. It’ll run from 10:30-to-11:30 and include a story time and an introduction to a couple of furry friends.
