The Central College men’s track team finished sixth in the country on the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association’s Al Carius Division III Men’s Program of the Year Award standings. The standings take into account how each school does in cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field championships. To be eligible to be on the list, a school must qualify for nationals in all three sports, and points are given out based on how each school does at each respective competition. Central was the only Iowa school in the top ten, and the sixth place finish in the country is the highest ever for the Dutch in school history.
