An event this Sunday will help remember those close to us that we’ve recently lost. HCI Care Services and Knoxville Hospital and Clinics are hosting a public memorial service Sunday afternoon at the Bessie Spaur Butterfly Garden. The service begins at 5pm, with a butterfly release set for 5:30. Refreshments and children’s activities will begin at 4pm. HCI Care Services bereavement councilor Don Efinger says that butterflies are used because they’re a sign of hope and freedom. In case of rain, he says they’ll have the service in the hospital lobby. The event is free; Efinger asks that those who come bring lawn chairs as well.
