Pella Christian’s doubles team of Paige Engbers and Veronica Francis finished eighth in the state after their day in the consolation bracket on Friday. They were defeated in straight sets by Okoboji 6 – 1, 6 – 2, and then fell in the seventh place game to Glenwood, 6 – 2, 6 – 1. Friday marked the end of the girls’ tennis season for both Engbers and Francis.
