Eagles Split Pair of Games at Eddyville-Blakesburg

The Pella Christian baseball team split their two games in tournament action at Eddyville-Blakesburg on Saturday. They started the day with a 4 – 1 loss at the hands of the host Rockets, but finished very strong in a 14 – 3 shellacking of Pekin. Jason Holwerda went 4-for-7 on the day with three stolen bases, senior Spencer Fynaardt was 2-for-5 and hit a three-run round tripper, and Dillon Branderhorst went 3-for-4 with a pair of runs and RBI’s. The Eagles’ record sits at 3 – 2 at the moment and they will next play at home against Colfax-Mingo on Tuesday.
