Father’s Day is just a few days away, but there’s still plenty of time to find that perfect gift. Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Director Larissa Van Donselaar has a variety of ideas for those still searching, and the best part is you don’t even have to leave Knoxville. Van Donselaar says Dad may enjoy gift certificates to local restaurants and establishments. If he’s a do-it-himself type, a set of tools or a gift card to a local grocery story may be in order. She even suggests a massage, saying Dad may just want to relax for a day and have those sore muscles ironed out. Van Donselaar adds that after you shower him gifts, consider taking him to the park or Lake Red Rock on his special day.
Jill Vandevoort, Director of the Pella Chamber of Commerce suggests Golfing at a local course, taking dad out to brunch, or maybe fishing or bike riding at Lake Red Rock. She also adds that many businesses, not only downtown, but around the community, have unique gifts and specialty items that are perfect for Father’s Day.
