Moulton-Udell comes into Bussey for a baseball/softball match-up against Bluegrass Conference rival Twin Cedars tonight. These two baseball clubs played to a 2 – 1 finale, with the Sabers ending up the victors. The way Twin Cedars has been playing, however, it will be hard for Moulton-Udell to get any runs on the scoreboard. The Sabers’ pitching staff has only allowed five runs in their last eight games, and ten runs in their last ten overall. Meanwhile, the Eagles have won their last eight games, and their last three by a total score of 48 – 0. On the softball diamond, the Sabers had their ten game winning streak snapped by Keokuk on Saturday. Twin Cedars is 19 – 7 overall, and their opponents enter play with only two wins on the year over Mormon Trail, and lost to these Sabers early in June, 16 – 1. The JV games are scheduled to start tonight at six, with varsity throwing out the first pitch at roughly 7:30.
