KNIA/KRLS is profiling Marion County museums this week as part of Iowa Museum Week. In Knoxville, we start at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum. Executive Director Bob Baker says it’s the only museum in the world dedicated solely to sprint car racing and its history. He explains they constantly are rotating in new items to their showroom, giving new fans a reason to stop in and old fans a reason to come back. Some of their cars and parts date back to the 1930s. Baker encourages people to visit anytime, as the museum is open seven days a week.
