Preparations are nearly complete for an event tomorrow in Knoxville that will celebrate the City’s parks. The June Jamboree takes place from 7am-to-4pm at Young’s Park in Knoxville. Things get started early with breakfast, a free kids’ fun run at 8:30, and a 5K at 9am. Registration for the 5K is ongoing. Kids activities will be held throughout the day, including a climbing wall, a car show, and live music. The Knoxville Rural and City Fire Departments will have a water fight in the afternoon, and the day will be capped off with raffles of a quilt, sprint car ride, and a 2001 Buick LeSabre.
