Last night’s rain postponed Knoxville’s softball games with Newton to this Saturday. Now the Panthers will step out of the Little Hawkeye Conference to face Chariton tonight. The Panthers sit at 6-10 on the season and are coming off a loss to Oskaloosa where the Indians won the game in the bottom of the seventh on Friday night. Meanwhile, Chariton is also struggling a bit this season at 5-13. Knoxville Coach Steph Christner says the girls have been working on seeing ball out of hand at the plate. She adds they have been swinging when the ball moves, and by then it is too late, The Panthers and Chargers are scheduled to get underway at around 7:30 after a freshman and J-V game.
