The Knoxville School Board agreed on doing a feasibility regarding the Panther Wall at Ken Locke Stadium during their meeting last Monday. That study will cost a maximum of $3000 and let the district know both the state of the wall and cost estimates to fix or replace it. Board members agreed that due to the age of the wall, it’s in the best interest of the district to know what they’re dealing with.
The Board also learned that property tax levy will be lowered for this upcoming school year due to legislative action regarding allowable growth. The new tax levy is about $14.95, down 11 percent from the 2012/2103 school year.
