The Knoxville Softball Squad will be back in action tonight after a few days off. The Panthers went one-and-two at the Oskaloosa Invitational last Saturday, and will face the Indians in the Little Hawkeye Conference opener for the Panthers. Knoxville is currently 1-4 on the season and this will be the first conference double header the Panthers will play as the L-H-C is going to conference double headers for one of the matchups for each team. Coach Steph Christner says no one in the conference seems to have the pitching to be effective in the twin bills, however she thinks a pitcher does get better the more games they play. Christner will likely use Emily Wallace both games. Wallace tuned up for the twin bill on Saturday by throwing both games at Oskaloosa. You can hear the call on AM 1320 KNIA and streamed live at kniakrls.com with Derek Cardwell at 7:15, with the first pitch scheduled for 7:30.
