The Knoxville Baseball Squad split its games with Newton last night, losing the first game 3-2 in nine innings. Kaden Loscher was the hard luck losing pitcher as he went 2 1/3 innings giving up one run on three hits, one strikeout and one walk. He was pitching in relief of Bryce Zoutte who went 6 2/3 innings of work. In the nightcap, the Panthers won 3-1 as Kevin Woodhouse had another good outing going the distance allowing one run on just five hits, five strikeouts ,and issued just one walk. Ross Shelford went a combined 4/9 and Nolan Wallace went a combined 3/6 with two R-B-I. Knoxville is now 9-7 on the season and 7-4 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. The Panthers have a double-header with Pella tonight.
