The Pella girls won a close contest on the softball field Tuesday night, beating Chariton 4 – 2. Elyse Sadler earned her second straight victory on the mound only allowing three Charger base hits over the course of the game. Sara Tallman was 2-for-3, and the Lady Dutch added base hits from Allie DeMeulenaere, Alli Dingeman, Lexi McGinley and Molly Lanke. Morgan Ernst also had an RBI for Pella, who improve to 7 – 9 on the year and have a tough task ahead of them with a varsity doubleheader at home against Oskaloosa later tonight.
