Elyse Sadler is starting to come into her own on the mound. The freshman limited Newton to just five hits in seven innings and allowing just one Cardinal to touch the plate in a 5 – 1 Pella High softball winner last night. Allie DeMeulenaere, Sara Tallman and Morgan Ernst each picked up two hits, Diana Zabradova and Lexi Reynolds each added a double for the Lady Dutch. Pella improves to 6 – 9 on the year with a conference mark of 4 – 2. They will also host Oskaloosa for two games tomorrow night.
