Twin Cedars’ baseball and softball keeps rolling right along, and they each picked up victories over Lamoni on Thursday. Sabers’ baseball won in five innings, 11 – 1. Otis Roby earned the win, allowing an unearned run on five hits and striking out 13 batters. Roby and Collin Still each drove in three runs, Corey Harrell hit a home run and a double with two RBI’s, and Drew Carlson also contributed three hits offensively for the Sabers. The Twin Cedars’ softball team swept their doubleheader with Lamoni, 7 – 5 and 10 – 3. Brittney Roby and Mackenzie Sedlock each picked up a win on the mound, and eight different Sabers earned an RBI over the course of the doubleheader. Ayla Crosby had three runs driven in and stole four bases, and Alee Hugen also had three RBI’s. Twin Cedars’ baseball is now 18 – 1, the softball team is 17 – 6, and the Sabers will travel to Moravia for their games tonight.
