They didn’t come with much offense, but the PCM ball clubs were still able to leave with a split in South Hamilton on Friday night. Mustangs’ baseball didn’t appear ready to play in a 7 – 0 loss, while an eighth inning home run broke a scoreless tie in the softball contest in a PCM winner. Abbi Gilson broke the 0-0 tie in the top of the inning to temporarily end the pitcher’s duel and give her team just enough to win. Payge Edwards had seven strikeouts on the mound for the Mustangs, who improve to 13 – 11 on the season, and the PCM baseball team drops to a record of 12 – 9. PCM softball will be at Pella Christian for their tournament, and the boys have the weekend off to prepare for Roland-Story this Monday night.
