Mustangs’ softball split a doubleheader with Greene County, while baseball swept theirs over the visitors last night. PCM lost game one 5 – 1, but walked off in the seventh inning of the nightcap, 7 – 6. Payge Edwards hit a walk-off home run of that second game to give her team the victory and was a perfect cap on a 3-for-4 night at the plate for the senior. Molly Vignovich went 3-for-4 at the plate in game two, Kaitlyn Wilkie was 2-for-3 and the tandem of Jennafer Uitermarkt and Kayla Jennings combined to go 4-for-8 at the plate with five RBI’s. Kayla Jennings had the lone RBI in the first contest for the Mustangs’ softball team. PCM baseball won their contests, 17 – 10, and 4 – 3 over the Rams. The Mustangs’ softball team is now 12 – 11 and baseball sits with a record of 11 – 7. The baseball team will host Nevada tonight while softball is off.
