The first rain shower dampened the field, while the second burst of rain, ended any hope of getting things going. Knoxville and Newton Softball Squads were in the second inning of a varsity double header yesterday when rain fell on the softball complex with the score tied at two. A little over an hour later, just after the field crew had got the playing surface back to shape the second shower made the field unplayable and everyone went home. Coach Steph Christner says the games are not likely to be rescheduled since both teams have a busy next two weeks. Knoxville will be in action against Pella Christian tomorrow.
