Both Melcher-Dallas ball clubs fell in their contests last night. Saints’ baseball lost 6 – 3 at Southeast Warren. Alex Mitchell knocked in a run and had a double, and Jered Johnston was 2-for-2 at the plate. The Saints left the bases loaded in the fifth and were only able to push one across. Clarke blanked Melcher-Dallas softball 8 – 0 in that bout. Saints’ baseball falls to 3 – 8 and the softball team now sits at a record of 11 – 9. Each squad will head to Seymour to continue their busy week with a game later this evening.
