NASCAR Driver Jason Leffler was killed Wednesday at a sprint car race at Bridgeport Speedway in New Jersey. According to reports, Leffler was in a heat race when something apparently broke on the car sending it into the wall. He had just made his first start of the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Season finishing 43rd last Sunday at Pocono. National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum Director Bob Baker says Leffler often visited the Museum whenever he was in the area. Baker told KNIA/KRLS sports that one time Leffler came in unannounced, and paid the admission fee to look around and it was not until about an hour later that Baker noticed Leffler was there. Baker added that he was not a driver that wanted a lot of fanfare and his young son Charlie Dean was the most important thing in his life. Leffler was 37 years-old.
