Several Marion County communities are gearing up for Independence Day celebrations this week. In Pleasantville, the holiday is also a benefit for seven-year-old Alyssa Scheve. Alyssa had a brain tumor removed in May, and the community is raising money to help the family with medical bills. Bussey has activities all day long, including a 5K to kick things off in the morning. Fireworks also return to Knoxville for the first time in seven years. That show starts at dusk on Willets Drive.
