Late in the 2012 season, the Central men’s soccer team was sitting with a 5 – 8 – 1 record and trying to scrape some momentum together for the quickly approaching Iowa Conference tournament. The Dutch were heading into a game against Nebraska Wesleyan, and ended up with a tie. Head coach, Garry Laidlaw said that his team did a few things right that had escaped them early in the season. Central would go 4 – 2 the rest of the way, including a trip to the conference tournament final against Loras.
