Defense was not a strongpoint of the 2012-13 Central men’s basketball team. Coach Craig Douma is very excited about the returning upperclassmen that are coming back next season, as they should be helping in that department. Douma says that his team will be displaying a more intense work ethic on the defensive end and should be greatly improved in that area when this winter season gets underway in a few months. Central allowed better than 75 points per game which was one of the highest averages in the Iowa Conference. Central’s men open up the season November 15 on the road in Illinois against Monmouth College.
