Five People Charged in Drug-Related Arrests Yesterday

Five people were arrested in a drug bust in Knoxville yesterday, including two that were charged with felonies. The Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force, or MINE, executed the search warrant at about 6:20 yesterday at 1329 S. Lincoln St. Lot Number 12. 19-year-old Jenna Binns and 21-year-old Brandon Galvin, both of Knoxville, were charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, and several other misdemeanors. Binns was also charged with child neglect.

19-year-old Natasha Flesher, 20-year-old Cody Laird, both of Knoxville, and 27-year-old Jonathan Banister, of Florida, were also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and interference of official acts. Both of those charges are misdemeanors. KNIA/KRLS will bring you more information as soon as it becomes official.

According to the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force, the full list of charges is as follows:

Jenna Binns, age 19 of Knoxville, charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, possession of a prescription drug without a prescription, child neglect, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug house.

Brandon Galvin, age 21 of Knoxville, charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, possession of prescription drug without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug house, interference with official acts and child endangerment.

Possession of with intent to deliver marijuana is a class “D” felony, fail to affix a drug tax stamp a class “D” felony, child neglect a class ‘C” felony, possession of marijuana a serious misdemeanor, interference with official acts a simple misdemeanor, possession of prescription drugs without a prescription an aggravated misdemeanor, child endangerment an aggravated misdemeanor, maintaining a drug house an aggravated misdemeanor and possession of drug paraphernalia a simple misdemeanor.
