Thousands of people will be in Knoxville next Wednesday for RAGBRAI – and some of them will have nothing to do with cycling. 14 musical acts will be performing in downtown Knoxville next week as part of the RAGBRAI entertainment. Entertainment committee chair Dylan Morse tells KNIA/KRLS that all of the acts are either from Iowa or have strong Iowa roots. The free entertainment is expected to draw many people to Knoxville who are just fans of music and aren’t involved in RAGBRAI at all. Entertainment committee member Michael Suhr says he has friends that have taken to calling it the Iowa Roots Festival. The music will start at 10am and take place on seven different stages downtown. It’ll culminate with the main stage lineup, which starts at 4:30. Acts on the main stage include the Diplomats of Solid Sound, Brother Trucker, and Kevin Gordon.
