The Knoxville Baseball Squad will play in the class 3A District title game tonight against defending state champion Dallas Center-Grimes. While the Mustangs are not the team that won the stat title in 3A last year, they still are a solid team. D-C-G stands at 19-13 on the season and finished third in its final season in the Raccoon River Conference before coming to the Little Hawkeye Conference this fall. Knoxville Coach Joel Johnson says the goal for his team was to play in a district title game, and now since they have got there, he says they are going to have to change their goals to winning a district game. The Panthers will either send out Ross Shelford or Bryce Zoutte to the mound tonight. Zoutte got the save in the Panthers win over Ballard on Friday night. You can hear the call on AM 1320 KNIA at seven with Derek Cardwell and Marcus Johnson, pre game at 6:45. It will also be streamed live at kniakrls.com.
