This past weekend two area football player and two coaches participated in the 41st Annual Iowa Shrine Bowl. Knoxville’s Aaron Crossett and Head Football Coach Troy Rider along with P-C-M’s Ethan Kain and Coach Greg Bonnett. While the South won 28-to-nothing Crossett is was a honor to play with some of the best players in the state. Crossett was able to get eight tackles a sack…and one pass break up in the South Squad’s victory. Knoxville Head Coach Troy Rider served as the defensive line coach and he tells KNIA/KRLS during the week the focus on the game is sometime just a locked in as preparing for a regular season game. Rider said along with football…both teams had a chance to interact with several of the Shriners kids and had two big get togethers during the week. Rider and Crossett both add that it will be a memory they will never forget.
