The Marion County Board of Supervisors approved putting a new roof on the Marion County Care Facility during their regular meeting this week. The board approved a bid from Anderson Roofing for around 40,500 dollars. The roof is only five years old; all three supervisors expressed unhappiness about the job the previous contractor did, but said they’ve been dealing with minor repairs involving the roof for long enough. More than 4700 dollars’ worth of FEMA money is coming in to the County after the roof was further damaged during heavy rains earlier this year. That will help subsidize the cost to replace the roof.
