Earlham and Alleman are the respective destinations for Twin Cedars and PCM softball tonight. Each team advanced in their quarterfinal games on Wednesday, and they have a pair of tough games ahead of them this evening. Twin Cedars beat Moravia 4 – 3 in round two, and for several members of the Sabers, they will be seeking revenge against an Earlham team who bounced them in the Class 1A regional basketball tournament in February. The Sabers are 24 – 8 entering play tonight while the Cardinals are 28 – 7 and feature a very potent offense. For the Mustangs, they breezed by Nevada, 11 – 1 the other day in their Class 3A regional opener, and will play a 19 – 10 North Polk team, whom they split the season series with. The Mustangs won 2 – 1 on July 3 in extra innings. Both games tonight are scheduled to get going at 7:00 p.m.
