Looking back at their 2013 softball season, Pella High head coach, Krista DeMeulenaere recalls their doubleheader with Oskaloosa the most as one of their most memorable games of the year. They lost the first game 3 – 2 in the late going, and the Lady Dutch head coach said that her team could have easily thrown in the towel for the second game after having the air let out of them in game one, but they buckled down and got the job done. Coach DeMeulenaere tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that it was maybe the most memorable game because everyone had something to do with the victory, and of how her seniors reacted after the contest. DeMeulenaere adds that you don’t live and die by one game, and she feels that the win was a turnaround of the season for them.
