Albia awaits either Pleasantville or Twin Cedars tonight in the Class 1A District 10 baseball finals in Pleasantville. The two schools have met twice during the regular season, with each team being on the wrong end of a blowout. Twin Cedars enters with wins over Moravia and Moulton-Udell, while Pleasantville has had victories over Wayne and Southeast Warren to get to where they are tonight. Sabers’ coach, Matt Miller says his team has a lot of respect for the Trojans and his guys are focused and ready for the task at hand. Pleasantville head coach, Sheldon Card talked about the opportunity to beat the number two ranked team in the state in Class 1A, and the challenge that’s before them. Tonight’s game takes place in Pleasantville, and the winner will play on Monday in Albia against either Cardinal of Eldon or North Mahaska.
