The Pleasantville Baseball Squad gave Class 1A number two ranked Twin Cedars is second loss of the season with a 13-3 decision over the Sabers last night. The Sabers got on the board first with an R-B-I from Corey Harrell, but Pleasantville went ahead with two in the third. Twin Cedars responded with two in the fourth. After that, it was all Pleasantville as the Trojans scored three in the fourth and eight in the fifth to send everyone home early. Pleasantville Coach Sheldon Card said the guys hit the ball well and also played well defensively. Jesse Nichols got the win for the Trojans going all five innings allowing three runs on four hits walking one and striking out four. For the Sabers Coach Matt Miller said two out situations was one thing that hurt his team. Drew Carlson took the loss going 4 1/3 innings giving up 11 runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking one. At the plate for the Trojans Patrick Sheehey went 2/3 with two R-B-I, and Zeb Adreon was 2/4. For Twin Cedars Eric Clarke had an R-B-I and a double. Pleasantville is 20-11 on the season and will play Colfax-Mingo tonight while Twin Cedars is 29-2 and will take on Iowa Christian on Thursday.
