Pella has spent months preparing for RAGBRAI to visit, and the day is finally here. The majority of riders are expected to enter town early this morning, but Jill VandeVoort from the Pella Convention and Visitors Bureau, says many cyclist have booked hotel rooms locally, for both last night and tonight. Vendors will fill the square selling food, gear, and dutch themed souvenirs, while tours, games, and a zip line provide entertainment. Pella is a scheduled meet up town, meaning an extra 1,500 buses are expected in the area. KNIA/KRLS’ Big Red Radio will be downtown playing music, and making announcements.
