A big lead nearly got erased because of the rain for Twin Cedars, but they were able to hold on and win their 16th straight, 9 – 5 on Saturday. The game was delayed in the fourth because of a downpour with the Sabers up 8 – 2. Pitcher Coy Moore was staying loose in the bullpen, but struggled with his command when he came back, but still earned the win on the mound when Otis Roby came in relief and shut the door. Hunter Embray was 3-for-3 at the plate with a home run and four RBI’s, and not to be outdone, Corey Harrell also was 3-for-3 but with two home runs and four runs driven in. Brent Parker also added a four-bagger for Twin Cedars, who improve to 26 – 1 on the season. Monday is a big day, as they will head to Melcher-Dallas to wind up the rivalry for the 2013 baseball season.
