Pella’s award winning community theater, the Union Street Players, will begin their production of Bye Bye Birdie Thursday. The satire on American society is set in 1958, and was inspired by the phenomenon of Elvis Presley and his draft notice into the Army in 1957. Bye Bye Birdie is full of 50′s nostalgia and rockabilly music, providing fun for the whole family.
