20-year-old Justin VanderMartin received four years of probation in Marion County District Court Friday. VanderMartin, of Des Moines, pled guilty in May to possession of precursor – lithium and precursor – pseudoephedrine. VanderMartin was present in a Knoxville home in April where authorities found several items that can be used to make meth in a backpack. Vandermartin admitted that the backpack belonged to him. VanderMartin had faced up to 10 years in prison.
