A trip to Pleasantville and the Class 1A District 10 finals is up for grabs for either Twin Cedars or Moulton-Udell tonight when the two schools face-off in Moravia in the semifinals. The Sabers enter with a 32 – 2 record, and two of those victories came against the Eagles in the regular season; a 2 – 1 win back on June 4, and a more-lopsided 10 – 1 victory on June 25. The Eagles struck out a combined 28 times in those contests, as they feature an almost do-or-die mentality at the plate. Moulton-Udell is 16 – 3 and have averaged almost 11 runs per game throughout the season. Sabers’ coach, Matt Miller says that for his team to make it deep into the playoffs, his guys will need to not overlook any of their opponents. The winner of the game tonight will play either Southeast Warren or Pleasantville on Saturday in Pleasantville in the district finals. Tonight’s semifinal match-up starts at 7:00 p.m.
