Casey Hall stole the show for Newman Catholic on Thursday and ended Twin Cedars’ season in the Class 1A state semifinals, by a final score of 3 – 0. Hall threw a gem, only allowing three hits and did not dole out a single free pass. The Sabers did not get their first base hit until the fifth inning on a line drive off the bat of Brent Parker that was almost speared by Newman Catholic’s shortstop, Jack Fitzegerald. Twin Cedars’ coach, Matt Miller tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that his guys just didn’t make adjustments at the plate when facing Hall. The Knights scored the first run in the second, and then added insurance runs in the sixth and seventh frames to seal the victory. Twin Cedars ends their season with a record of 36 – 3, and they lose just two seniors off their team; Eric Clark and Levi Jones.
