Pella Christian’s Caleb Morgan of the Eagles’ baseball team was selected to the 2013 “Small Schools East” squad for the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Star series. The event is held in Des Moines on August 8 – 11 and invites the best of the best from schools all across Iowa. There is a Small School East and West team and a Large School East and West team, and games are played in a round-robin format. All participants will get to play at least one game inside Principal Park, attend an I-Cubs game, and be involved with other fun activities, including an “All-Star Poker Tournament.” Morgan led the Eagles in virtually every offensive category, finishing the year with 35 hits, two triples, two home runs, 23 stolen bases and a batting average of .385.
