Boys and girls are susceptible to different types of injuries while participating in sports. That’s according to 21st Century Rehab Physical Therapist Matt DeWall. DeWall tells KNIA/KRLS News that girls are at a higher risk for ACL tears and knee injuries. DeWall explains that their wider pelvic area provides more stress on the knees, creating that increased risks. He notes that’s because boys are more involved in contact sports like football and wrestling.
