You should expect the heat wave to continue through the start of the holiday weekend. WeatherEye meteorologist Michael Karrow tells KNIA/KRLS News that the hot, humid conditions likely won’t break until at least Sunday. He explains the hot weather started after a large ridge of high pressure moved over the Upper Midwest. Karrow adds more hot air moved into the area after the jet stream shifted north to the southern part of Canada.
