It was indeed a silent night in Knoxville Saturday night as the Knoxville Raceway took the weekend off. The Raceway traditionally takes the Saturday after the Knoxville Nationals off to allow officials and personnel some extra down time before the final sprint car races of the season. Those final races will be this Saturday, as Season Championship Night will wrap up the sprint car portion of the season. Bronson Maeschen, Ian Madsen and Terry McCarl are locked in a tight points battle for the 410 title with just 66 points separating the top three. Clint Garner and Larry Ball Jr. have all but clinched their respective 360 and 305 points battles. While Saturday will signal the end of the sprint car season at the Knoxville Raceway, other forms of racing will take over. September seventh is the Enduro, the 20th and 21st the half mile will welcome for the first time ever Monster Jam and the Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals will wind up the 2013 season September 26th-28th.
