The Pella High volleyball team went 19 – 17 last year and excelled at many things. One thing that was perhaps lacking for the Lady Dutch was their serving. They had a serving efficiency of just over 89%, which was second worst in the Little Hawkeye Conference. Head coach Catie Brand says that serving will be a skill they will continue to work on as the season progresses. <> Brand adds she’s had several girls that have been jump serving during practices, and says that will be a tool they will use to try and score more points off the serve. Pella’s volleyball season opens up this Thursday at Ballard.
