There will be a little bit of a tweak to the format of the Central cross country meet on September 7. Pella Christian head coach, Jocelyn Meinders explains.
“The way they’re changing the format is that they’re having two classes,” Meinders says. “They’re going to have a small class and a large class, but they’ll run them together.”
Meinders adds that it will be tough with a lot of bigger schools there, but in the end, it will be worth it. Meinders says her athletes get to compete against some bigger schools and run against the bigger varsities and get great times but still get to place with the smaller schools and get a better place. Along with all of that, the meet being at Central College practically makes it a home meet, too.
