Numbers Up For Fichter, Trojans’ Cross Country

Dealing with lower participating in his first season as head coach, Aaron Ficther of the Pleasantville cross country team is thrilled with the numbers he has preliminarily leading up to their first practice on Monday. Fichter explains that he only had four girls out for cross country last season, and this year, he’s expecting somewhere around the 11 – 12 range. With the increased numbers, the Trojans’ ladies will be able to put together an actual team at meets this fall, and Fichter says he hopes that they can compete more because of that on the team level. Pleasantville’s first cross country meet will be September 5 at Wayne.
