Posted By News On August 1, 2013 @ 6:26 am In Today’s Local News | Comments Disabled
The month of July was very dry in Marion County. We received just 1.12 inches of rainfall during the month. That’s nearly four inches less than our normal amount of 5.11 inches. The latest USDA drought monitor comes out today, but last week’s monitor classified Marion County as abnormally dry. Rain is expected tonight and tomorrow, with about three-quarters of an inch expected through tomorrow. The average high temperature in July was 83.9 degrees, which is 1.3 degrees cooler than normal.
