Safety Tips for the Roads as School Starts

With the school year starting up again, mornings and afternoons will be a little bit different traffic-wise in Knoxville. Police Chief Dan Losada reminds parents that drop their children off that they’ll need some patience as the area around the schools gets crowded. He says they’ll have extra patrols around the schools at the beginning of the year to watch for issues. Losada adds that if your child walks to school, you should discuss their route with them. He suggests that there be a pre-determined route your child take every time so you know where they go in case of an emergency.
