Monday is the first day of school in Knoxville. Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack says it’s an exciting time of year for everyone at the schools. He says administratively, they can see all the physical improvements to the school take shape and start with the professional development plans. Dr. Flack says at the high school this year, they’re adding additional college credit courses. They’re also introducing a new reading series at the middle and elementary schools. He says they’re excited about both of those developments. Dr. Flack adds that in some ways it’s similar to other years, but there are new challenges every fall.
